Andrew Peller Limited
Andrew Peller Ltd. is a Niagara based winery. Their website contains an overview of their business including the products that they produce. Careers at Andrew Peller Ltd. are posted under the "Careers" heading in the top menu bar. Opportunities are listed under the appropriate heading including Operations, Hospitality, Retail, etc.
Aditya Birla Minacs
An in-bound contact centre, Aditya Birla Minacs ihas locations in both Niagara Falls and Hamilton. Career opportunities are posted on this site for all locations.
Apprentice Search.com
Apprenticesearch.com offers lots of information on apprenticeships including how they work, what types there are and how to get involved. The web site also allows you to submit your profile and search for apprenticeship postings.
Brain Injury Community Re-entry
Brain Injury Community Re-entry is a Niagara based non-profit that provides support services and rehabilitation for people with acquired brain injuries. From the website you can find both employment and volunteer opportunities. Just scroll about half way down the home page to the links located on the right side.
Bosch Rexroth Canada
Bosch Rexroth is an international company with headquarters in Welland Ontario. The link to Jobs and Careers is on the left side. The link to current job openings is located under "Job Market" and even if there are no current openings, they will still accept resumes , submission directions are on that web page.
Bruce R. Smith Limited (trucking)
Bruce R. Smith Ltd. is a large trucking operation. Although not physically based in Niagara, they hire drivers, maintenance workers and adminstration staff for their 4 locations. The Employment Opportunities tab is on the home page and leads to available jobs and the option to submit your application on-line.
The Burke Group
The Burke Group is a local employment agency that specializes in contract and temporary employment - job listings are included on the site.
Cotton Inc.
Cotton Inc. has been in business for 30 years providing complete concrete contraction services. To find career options, click on "About" and then select Employment Opportunities from the menu. The next screen will open to a short description of the type of candidate they like to see, a downloadable application form and three options for submission of your completed form.
CIM
CIM specializes in sales management, brand marketing and measurement for a number of large corporations. In Niagara they hire store Merchandisers and Merchandising Representatives. Some of the contracts are short term but are interesting opportunities. To find the job openings click on "Contact" in the top menu. Once on the Contact page, click on the Careers link. You will then be moved to a recruitment site where you can search for opportunities - type "Niagara" in the keyword search for local job openings.
Commercial Cleaning Services
Based in St. Catharines, Commercial Clenaing Services offers exactly what it's name implies - commercial cleaning. On the home page, select "Employee Services" - this will open to an on-line application form that you can complete. You also have the option to print off the application form and apply in person at their location on Cushman Road.
Canadian Tire
Canadian Tire Financial Services have locations in Niagara and the hiring is done through the website. You will need to create an account in order to complete your application but you can view the postings without having an account.
Convergys
This in-bound call centre is based in Welland and offers great career opportunities. There is no selling - the positions focus on customer service and help desk situations.
Casino Niagara
Casino Niagara posts employment opportunities at both Casino Niagara and the new Fallsview Casino. Applicants can also create a personalized job profile on-line.
District School Board of Niagara
It's not a great time to be looking for a teaching job but the school board does have a lot of staff that are not teachers. Check this site periodically, there have been a few opportunities in the last couple fo weeks. Career Opportunities link is in the left menu bar and the next screen divide the job openings by Teaching - Support Staff - Administrator and Other.
Davert
Davert is a Niagara based company that specializes in meeting client's metal fabrication, engineering, design and prototype needs. Their job opportunities are found by clicking on the "Opportunities" link in the top menu bar. The next page provides contact information and any current job openings.
Diversicare
Diversicare is a large group of long term and residential care faciliteis plus seniors housing. They have faciliteis in both St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. Job openings can be found by following the "Employment Opportuniteis" link at the bottom left of the home page.
Dave & Busters Niagara Falls
Dave & Busters is just opening a new facility on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls. Only the second location in Canada, they are billed as an entertainment complex where you can eat, drink and play. Their job openings are listed under the "Employment" link at the top of the page.
E.S. Fox
As their website states: "E.S. Fox Ltd. is a multi-faceted organization providing clients with a single source for their construction, fabrication, service and engineering requirements". Careers ar E.S. Fox can be found by following the link at the top of the homepage. There are opportunities available in Niagara but also at other sites in Ontario and Canada.
Erie Personnel
Erie Personnel is a local employment agency that offers contract and temporary employment opportunities - the site also offers listings of their job opportunities.
Fun By The Falls
Fun By The Falls is what the Niagara Clifton Group advertises on their web site. The link to employment opportunities is at the bottom of the home page. Opportunities are available in accomodations, restaurants, attractions and gift shops.
GSS Security
GSS Security is based in Hamilton but serves clients based throughout the Golden Horseshoe and beyond. There are no job postings on their website but you can e-mail an inquiry to them and select from the drop box "Employment Inquiry". That can be found under the Contact Us heading.
Great Wolf Lodge
A unique tourism/hospitality experience located in Niagara Falls, they offer a downloadable application form and an e-mail address to use to submit the application. They also offer in-house job fairs so be sure to check the site for any updates.
Greater Canadian Personnel Services
Based in Fort Erie, Greater Canadian Personnel Services is a new temporary employment organization. Their slogan is "Temporary Services - Full Time Solutions" so be sure to check out their website for new job postings on a regular basis.
HOCO Entertainment & Resorts
HOCO Entertainment and Resorts includes a wide variety of attractions, hotels and restaurants in Niagara Falls. All job postings are on this site, divided into categories such as attractions, food & service or accomodations.
Henry Schein
Henry Schein provides healthcare products and services to office based practitioners throughout the world. They have an office in Niagara-on-the-Lake and employment postings for that location are available on the website. To access any postings, click on Career Opportunities found on the upper right area of the home page. The next screen has lots of corporate information, click on "all other countries" under Job Search then select NOTL - the top location in the list.
Hudson's Bay Company
The Hudson's Bay Company corporate web site offers information on the corporation and the job opportunities available in their family of stores: The Bay, Zellers and Home Outfitters. Opportunities across Canada are posted here.
Investor's Group St. Catharines
Investor's Group St. Catharines are recruiting Consultants to work in financial services. On this website there is a lot of information about the Consultant position and you can apply directly on-line or e-mail your resume in to the local office.
InStore Focus
This Canadian based organization is responsbile for many of the sample stations that you enjoy in your local stores. This site recruits staff for those sample stations. They offer a variety of work options - one may be just what you're looking for!
Jungbunzlauer
The website states that "Jungbunzlauer is one of the world's leading producers of natural and nature-identical biodegradable ingredients". They have locations throughout the world including one in Port Colborne. Employment opportunities can be found by following the "jobs" link on the left side of the home page.
Jason Steele Contracting
Based in Ridgeway Jason Steele Contracting is a full service company offering landscaping and concrete work. Follow the link at the bottom of the page to available Employment Opportunities.
Job Gym
Job Gym offers services to unemployed youth who are out of school and out of work - also offers an on-line job bank that everyone can access.
Lakeside Steel Corporation
Lakeside Steel is based in Welland where they produce steel pipe and tubing. The link to thier Careers page is right on the home page, mid way on the menu bar that is in the centre of the screen.
Lakeshore Inc.
Lakeshore Inc. is a large greenhouse operation located in Jordan. The front page of the website allows you to enter the main site or you can choose to see any current job openings or click to submit a resume by e-mail.
Loblaws
Loblaw is the umbrella organization for a number of local grocery retailers. Following the Employment link at the top of the screen leads to a number of searchable opportunities from PC Financial Representatives to opportunities in loss prevention.
Mad Science
Have you always wanted to be a mad scientist? Here is your chance! This link takes you to opportunities in Niagara but there are other areas to consider. As a mad scientist you educate kids, often in school clubs, on the fun elements of science. The Careers link is on the top menu bar on the home page.
Match Marketing
Did you ever wonder how the people promoting products at special events got that job? It was likely through Match Marketing. They hire dynamic outgoing people to be "brand ambassadors" at events and locations throughout Canada. Current job openings are posted on the website.
Marineland
Marineland offers a variety of seasonal positions. Job postings are available on the web site under the Employment link. Also available is an on-line application form.
Niagara Regional Police Service
The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) has a large link to their Careers section - just click on the police shield and the words "We're Hiring" on the left under News Now. The next page opens to extensive information aobut policing as a career, Niagara specific details plus the option to apply on-line or to download an application form.
Niagara Catholic District School Board
The Niagara Catholic District School Board also offers job opportunities in addition to teaching. To find any postings, click on "Contact Us" then on Applications and then the Career Opportunities will appear broken down into categories
Nedco
Nedco is a division of Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. - an electrical and telecommunications distributor. They have a branch office in St. Catharines and job opportunities can be found by clicking on "Ontario" in the right menu bar and then clicking on "Careers" in the top menu bar.
Niagara Convention and Civic Centre
Currently under construction, the new Convention Centre promises to bring lots of new events to the area on a much grander scale than was ever possible. They will be hiring for a number of psotions so continue to check the site frequently. Currently they are receiving resumes for positions in Food & Beverage, Event Management and Maintenance.
Niagara College Job Connect
With offices in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, the Niagara College Job Connect program assists youth aged 16 to 24 who are out of school, out of work and not eligible for Employment Insurance or WSIB to find work. The website lists the current job postings available, just click on "Job Postings" in the column on the left. Note that qualified applicants must register at the centre to apply for the job openings.
Niagara Health System
This site covers all of the employment opportunities at the sites covered under the Niagara Health System. The link to posted jobs is in the top box labelled "Employment". Click here to go to the posted openings. To apply you'll need to create an account and will then apply on-line.
Niagara Region
Postings for any position available with the Region of Niagara can be found by clicking on the "Careers" link found in the top right corner of the home page, right above the Search option.
Niagara Parks Commission
Niagara Parks Commission web site offers lots of details about the COmmission and the attractions they offer. The meployment opportunities are tucked in the web site under "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. Once there, click on "Human Resources" on the right and here you will find job listings and access to an printable application form.
Ontario Provincial Police
The Ontario Provincial Police site has their Careers link in the top menu bar. click on the link to go to the Careers page that offers extensive inforamtion aobut thier opportunties including both uniform recruting, civilian opportunities and auxiliary positions. Also on the sit eis a self-assessment questionnaire and the complete application package.
Ontario Public Service Careers
Listed here are all of the job opportunities with the provincial government - majority of opportunities are in the Toronto area but check regularly - local opportunities do pop up.
Ontario Camping Association
This is the web site for the Ontario Camping Association. On this site is a Job Board that posts available positions at various camps throughout Ontario. These are not just student positions but range from Assistant Camp Director to Riding Instructor to Nurses and Cooks. These jobs are interesting opportunities that let you enjoy summer and pay you to go to camp!
Phelps Renovations
Phelps Renovations completes remodeling and renovation projects throughout the Golden Horseshoe area. The link to their career opportunities appears in the top bar on their website. The Career section details any current openings and includes directions for applications.
Public Service Commission of Canada
This site lists job opportunities available with the federal public service. Positions are available across Canada in various ministires/departments but you can narrow your search to Ontario.
Palfinger
Palfinger has been in the Niagara area (Niagara Falls) for 15 years. They manufacture hydraulic lifting, loading and handling systems. The web site has a great overview of the company, offers human resource information as well as contact information for the Niagara Falls location.
Rosaflora
Rosa Flora Limited offers a variety of career opportunities in their multi-greenhouse operation. A link off of the home page directs you to Careers which will lead you to an on-line application plus directions for resume submission by e-mail or fax.
Silverline Group Inc.
The Silverline Group offers a complete package for any project's needs - from construction to trucking to concrete work and everything in between. Employment Opportunities can be found by clicking on the link on the left side menu. The next screen offers an overview of various divisions including possible job opportunites within them. Application instructions are also on this screen.
SVAT Electronics
SVAT Electronics is a Niagara based designer, manufacturer and marketer of do-it-yourself video security and other consumer electronics products. Their Employment Opportunities can be found by clicking on "Careers" at the bottom of the home page. That will open a Career ssection that lists all current openings plus lots of corporate information.
Servrite
Servrite is a national company providing in-store service to the home improvement industry across Canada. To access their job postings, click on "About" then on "Employment Opportunities". You'll see that there are no specific job positngs just a form to complete and submit for consideration.
Servco
Servco is the "in-store solutions company" that focuses on in-store merchandising for big box stores. They hire Merchandisers for a number of functions within these stores. To locate current employment opportunities, click on "Employment" in the left side menu bar. The next screen will provide a few lines description of the type of employee Servco is looking for and then an e-mail address for resume submissions.
Steel Design & Fabricators Ltd.
Steel Design & Fabricators Ltd. "serves the steel needs of the heavy civil construction industry." They are Niagara based but employ staff across Canada in positions such as welders, fitters, labourers, detailers and engineers. The link to their Careers page is on the top on the home page and at last check they were inviting resumes to be sent in - they are always looking for experienced people.
Select Nannies
Based in Niagara Falls, Select Nannies helps qualified applicants find work as a Nanny or Caregiver. The website has full details including an on-line application form.
Sears
Job postings for Sers Retail stores are on this site for all stores across Canada. The link is found at the very bottom of the home page, almost the very last line inlcudes the link "careers@sears". Folow this link to view all jobs across Canada including any available in the St. Catharines store.
Sheprott K-9 Security
This security company has an office in Niagara Falls as well as Hamilton, Windsor and Barrie. There is a link to any employment opportunities from the home page. The Employment Opportunities page offers an e-mail option, a fax number or the option to drop into an office with a resume.
Sitel
The local office of Sitel is based in St. Catharines and is an in-bound call centre. Great customer service opportunities are often available - if not posted on-line, check with the local recruiter.
Skylon Tower
Enter the Skylon tower web site by clicking on the tower. At the bottom of the page is a yellow box for Career Opportunities. Click here for more information on job opportunities, to download an application form and for the job hotline number.
TSC Stores
TSC Stores are located in rural areas throughout Ontario. They consider themselves to be " The Incredible Country Hardware Store" but they offer a wide range of products related to rural living. This Canadian company is expanding and opportunities exist in Niagara, Hamilton and throughout the province. This link opens to their Careers page, from the drop box select "Central Ontario" and all opportunities in our area will open up.
Throat Threads Apparel
Based in burlington this is a unique opportunity to work in the fashion industry. Take a look at the site to see the many brands that Throat Threads selss, markets and distributes. Careers are found via the link in the red section on the home page.
Tourism Niagara
Tourism Niagara is the web site of the Niagara Economic and Tourism Corporation. It doesn't offer job postings but does provide an excellent overview of the tourism industry in Niagara.
United Parcel Service (UPS)
The UPS website is international but you can select Canada as your country of choice. After that selection scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on "UPS Careers". You'll then need to again select your country then look for the "Opportunities" button in the upper left corner. When checking the site in September 09, there was one job posted in Niagara and quite a few more in the Hamilton/Burlington/Missisauga corridor.
Vintage Inns
Vintage Inns site includes job postings for the Niagara-on-the-Lake based Prince of Wales Hotel and Spa, the Pillar and Post Hotel, The Oban Inn, the Shaw Cafe and Wine Bar and the Queen's Landing Hotel. Click on "Contact" at the bottom left then click on "Careers" in the left menu bar.
