How do I upload my résumé to the storage section?

Follow these easy steps to locate your resume file and upload it to the site:

What do the symbols beside my résumé mean?

Those symbols are tools to help you with your resume. Clicking on the pencil will open your resume in Microsoft Word and allow you to "Edit" your resume. Clicking on the garbage can will "Delete" your resume. Clicking on the envelope will allow you to "E-mail" your resume to an employer.

How do I e-mail my résumé to an employer?

The first step is to have an e-mail account. If you don't have one, you'll need to get one – there are a number of free options on the web. Some of the most common ones are found at: www.yahoo.ca, or www.hotmail.ca . It's a quick process to sign up for an account – the trick is to keep checking it after you've sent out your resume – an employer may reply to your new address!

Now that you have an e-mail account, you can send your resume to an employer by clicking on the "Envelope" symbol beside your resume. An e-mail cover sheet will open up that allows you to indicate who the e-mail is intended for, space for a short message and the option to attach your resume file (attachment procedure is outlined in Question 1).
